Cranial Sacral Therapy

Also known as CST, cranial osteopathy, CranioSacral bodywork or therapy. CST treats mental stress, neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ syndrome, and chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia.

CST is a form of massage that applies subtle movement of the spinal and cranial bones in order to bring the central nervous system into harmony. During cranial sacral therapy the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is what is assessed and its movement is addressed during the session. The CSF may be restricted by trauma to your body--resulting from falls, accidents, or holding your body in a tense nervous manner. In a session the following is gently moved: your spine, the skull and its cranial structures, diaphragms, and fascia which helps ease any restrictions on your nerve passages and CSF is able to be moved through the spinal cord to help restore misaligned bones to their proper positions.
