What is the natural function of the colon? The colon can be compared to a tube approximately five feet long and 2 1/2 inches in diameter situated in the lower part of the abdomen. It completes the digestive process. The colon absorbs minerals, nutrients and excess water from the digestive residues of food we have eaten. The colon is also one of the main organs of elimination; through digestion, much of the waste products are transported to it for expulsion from the body. The circulatory system also transports metabolic wastes and toxins to the colon for excretion. |
Through years of stress, improper diet, insufficient water, lack of exercise, over eating and ignoring the call of nature, fecal waste accumulates, resulting in the build-up and deposit of a hardened, “rubbery” crust along the colon wall. This prevents proper absorption of nutrients. Instead, toxins are absorbed and enter the body’s circulatory system. This leads to cellular toxicity and eventually dis-ease.
Is your colon working properly?
If you do not experience a bowel movement after every regular meal, chronic constipation is present, in other words, gradual build-up of waste takes place. The colon is the great sewer of the body, through which the waste matter, refuse and excrement (known as feces) is carried out of the system. When this sewer is allowed to become clogged, plaque accumulates and becomes putrid over time. It then releases toxic, foul poisons back into the portal vein, which takes it to the liver. This poison is circulated throughout the entire body, weakening all the main organs of the body and providing a “home” for parasites, yeast, bacteria, virus and other pathogens.

Everyone is different but it usually takes one hour or less.
Is it painful?
No, you are in control at all times. If at any time, you feel discomfort, you may stop the water flow until the discomfort subsides, then start the water again. The speculum is 1/2 the size of your little finger and is only inserted 2-3 inches into the rectum.
